Completed as part of my BA Fashion Print degree at Central Saint Martins, the collection centers on the digital manipulation and placement of my original paintings onto apparel templates.
The collection’s natural aesthetic directly mirrors its research focus: the Tuareg nomads and nomadic communities of the Sahara region. Inspired by Maher Alawami’s photography of North African equestrian racing and showmanship, the final designs capture that exact raw spirit through placement prints.

The research images follow below, placed on top of my paintings and mark-making executed during a visit to North Africa—at the time not knowing the purpose they would serve. The naturalness and informality of my paintings aligned perfectly with the subject matter, allowing the project to come together with complete ease.
